Initials Indicating Terms of Address
When formulating access points, do not confuse initials that represent terms of address with forename initials. Initials representing terms of address are usually not included as part of authorized access points. However, they are sometimes included in authorized access points and more often included in variant access points; in such cases, don’t forget to record them in ‡c.
Note: Examples are illustrative of this guidance only; other aspects of the records do not necessarily conform to current NACO standards.
