Use for works which describe the states of California, Oregon, and Washington and the following topics:
- Works on this region that also include Nevada and/or Idaho
- Works on the northwest coast of North America, i.e. roughly the region from Alaska to the northern boundary of California
- Works on the Pacific Northwest (Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana west of the continental divide, and British Columbia) for the periods before ca. l769 and after 1859
- Class works on this region between 1769 and 1859 in Zc74 except as noted elsewhere
- Early Pacific voyages of exploration that cannot be classed with a smaller locality
- Columbia River and Columbia River Valley
- Northwest boundary (from Rockies to the Pacific) after 1846; before 1846 class in Zc74
